Terms & Conditions

Between the Registered Nutritional Therapist, Personal Trainer and Health Coach (Kenergetics) and Client.

PART 1

The Nutritional Therapy and Personal Training Descriptor

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition and lifestyle medicine sciences in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (NTs) assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional imbalance and help support the body towards maintaining health.

Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing. NTs consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a 'one size fits all' approach.

Personal training applies physical exercise, stretching and mobility work to promote fitness (strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, speed, power and mental wellbeing). Personal Trainers (PTs) assess an individual’s fitness levels, symptoms and health goals, whilst also considering any current or previous injuries. This allows them to provide appropriate types of exercise and movement for each individual.

Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy or exercise as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with 'red flag' signs, symptoms or injuries to their medical professional. They frequently work alongside medical professionals and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care to explain any nutritional therapy/exercise programme that has been provided.

Kenergetics requests that the Client notes the following:

  1. The degree of benefit obtainable from nutritional therapy and personal training may vary between clients with similar health problems and following a similar nutritional therapy or exercise programme.

  2. Nutrition, exercise and lifestyle recommendations will be tailored to support health conditions and/or health concerns identified and agreed between both parties.

  3. Kenergetics cannot diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.

  4. Kenergetics´ recommendations are not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.

  5. Any type of exercise carries with it a risk of injury and exacerbation of existing medical conditions . Your personal training sessions are designed to minimise these risks, whilst also providing an effective exercise programme.

  6. Kenergetics may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing (hormone, stool, blood, genetic etc.) as part of your nutritional therapy/exercise programme and may receive a commission on some of these products or services.

  7. Standards of professional practice in nutritional therapy are governed by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) Code of Conduct, Ethics and Performance. Any legal conflicts between Kenergetics and client will be governed by United Kingdom laws.

The Client understands and agrees to the following:

  1. I am responsible for contacting my GP about any health concerns.

  2. If I am receiving treatment from my GP, or any other medical provider, I should tell him/her about any nutritional recommendations provided by Kenergetics. This is necessary because of any possible interaction between medication and the nutritional programme.

  3. It is important that I inform Kenergetics about any medical diagnosis, medication, herbal medicine or dietary supplements I am taking, as this may affect the nutritional programme.

  4. If I am unclear about the agreed nutritional therapy programme/exercise regime/supplement doses/time period, I should contact Kenergetics promptly for clarification.

  5. I understand that the recommendations are personal to me and may not be appropriate for others.

  6. I must contact Kenergetics should I wish to continue any specified supplement programme for longer than the originally agreed period, to avoid any potential adverse reactions.

  7. If I experience an adverse reaction from any supplements recommended to me, I must discontinue these immediately, inform Kenergetics and contact a doctor if I feel like this is necessary.

  8. I will inform Kenergetics of any illness or injury that might be aggravated by exercise or eating certain foods.

  9. I will experience some feelings of exertion during each personal training session, and might feel hot and uncomfortable at times. My breathing and heart rate will increase as a result of engaging in physical exercise.

  10. For at-home exercise, I will find a space that allows me to move freely and also keep my surroundings tidy to prevent any unwanted accidents.

  11. I will be responsible for my own safety during any exercise as part of my programme. If I ever experience pain or excessive discomfort during exercise, I will stop the activity immediately and inform Kenergetics of my symptoms.

  12. I agree to indemnify Kenergetics from any liability in the case of personal injury or adverse effects.

  13. Recording consultations using any form of electronic media is not allowed without the permission of both me and Kenergetics.

  14. I understand that all content provided to me belongs to Kenergetics, and I will not reproduce or share any of such content with other parties.
